Hey guys whats up Matt here the guitarist of Bracing for Impact. Man it feels good to be playing music I enjoy again. Its pretty weird how this whole things started so im gonna give you a little background on the band. We formed in the summer of 2003 original members were myself on rhythm guitar and vocals, Jake lead guitar, Ryan bass, and Mike drums. And we all had a certain chemistry about us that made our music flow. We released a small demo that we recorded ourselves and the quality of it was pretty horrible but we liked it. We played a show at Liquid Records in cornelius with a band called Just for Tonight and that show has been one of the highlights of my music career. We rocked hard and got the crowd into it and it was just awesome. But ne ways Mike left us after awhile and then we all seemed to go our seperate ways after we graduated from high school. Myself and Ryan remained good friends for awhile and played in a few other bands together, but it was never the same. We slowly seperated and ive found myself stuggling to find bands to play with. But Jake recently moved to charlotte where i have been for 3 years and we got together one day and just started jamming all of our songs and then we decided that we are older now and we could really improve those songs and could make something great. So thats where we are right now we have been working on making our music defined. Last night we got together and did a few acoustic recordings which came out very well and will possibly add on our demo. Also, Jake was out last weekend and ran into the roommate of our old drummer and is going to see if he would like to join us and get this thing going. Because Mike was a heck of a drummer and a great friend and I really missed him alot after he left. So im keeping my fingers crossed that Mike will want to come back. Since Ryan is no longer around we asked our good friend Earle to take over bass. Earle is a good guitarist and should have no problems learning bass. And besides our music is not very complicated. Well i am done rambling now so be sure to keep an eye out on our page we wil probably add some of our acoustic recordings on this site and we are also gonna get a myspace up soon. L8r. |
