2. Is this ringtone thing a scam?

It sure is. What cellphone companies don't want you to know is that creating and sending ringtones isn't rocket science!  Get Local Music has developed a system that will take MP3s you own and convert them to the ringtone format and send it to your phone or email account. 3. I'm not in a band can I join?

Of course, in fact we have special profiles just for you!  Plus our myspace like community features let you and your friends communicate with bands as well as each other. You can even use our ringtone converter to convert MP3s to ringtones and share them with visitors to your profile.

4. What if my genre isn't listed?

It's not possible to list every genre in the world or allow you to enter in your own made up genre due to the fact that the genres are there to aid music fans in easily finding music that suits their tastes.  It simply doesn't make sense to force fans to browse thru thousands of different variations of say the punk genre containing one band in each when they could all be grouped into one main group.  So choose the genre that most represents your style of music. You can also post a new genre request in the forum and if enough bands are interested we will implement it into the system.
