To record their debut cd STAR FUCKER PUNX in the same studio where smashing pumpkins recorded GISH and nirvana did their demos for NEVERMIND. History surrounded the band as they pounded out the 5 song ep that would take the band places they never expected. All 5 songs received airplay on numerous stations throughout the us.
Instead of rushing out on tour AL did what few bands ever do. They gave back. Instead of begging for shows and waiting for others to catch on the band brought in huge national acts To local independent venues on their dime. From LOCAL H at the vfw to HIDDEN IN PLAIN VIEW and HOUSTON CALLS at the Masonic temple AL created magical moments where they introduced their own music To packed rooms of open minded fans . this method earned the 4 piece a dedicated following and set the bar for all new comers who did little more than spew negativity and ill will.
In 2005 after 2 years of steady gigs across the Midwest opening for a whos who of the underground punk movement AL took a break to spend time with their new kids and enjoy their unexpected success. Nearly 2 years later the band is back together older , wiser , and ready to pick up where they left off.
ALIENZ LIE will release their long awaited new cd CHICAGO IS THE NEW LA this fall and return to the stage in October.
